“Use your vote to protect unborn babies” says SPUC as it launches 2019 general election campaign
31 October 2019
SPUC has launched its election campaign following the announcement of a December general election. SPUC has described the general election as a “key moment for the pro-life community in the UK to defend unborn babies and vulnerable people”.
The election, which has been scheduled for December 12th, is a critical time to determine the pro-life future of the UK.
SPUC’s general election campaign equips supporters with resources to encourage people to use their vote to defend life. The resources include materials to find out the voting intentions of constituency candidates and leaflets to distribute amongst friends, family and at places of worship.
A key time to be a voice for the voiceless
SPUC Director of Campaigns, Antonia Tully said: "A General Election is a key moment for the pro-life community in the UK to defend unborn babies from abortion and vulnerable people from assisted suicide.
"We are asking SPUC supporters throughout the country to encourage people to vote pro-life. We are calling on our supporters to distribute our special general election leaflet among family and friends, door to door and at their place of worship. We are asking our supporters to find out the voting intentions of the candidates in their constituency.
"SPUC is asking people to use their vote for the candidate who, if elected to Parliament, will vote to protect unborn babies from abortion. We also want caring citizens to vote for the candidate who, if elected to Parliament, will vote against any measures to legalise assisted suicide.
"Please get in touch with SPUC if you would like to receive our 2019 General Election materials. Please make 12/12 a date to be a voice for the voiceless”.
