Ultrasound 'scan' of baby Jesus to feature in churches' Christmas campaign.
Protestant Churches have joined forces in an advertising campaign that shows a scan of baby Jesus in the Virgin Mary's womb, complete with a halo. The poster campaign reads: 'He's on His way. Christmas starts with Christ.' John Smeaton, national director of SPUC, said the advertisement sends a powerful message to everyone in Britain where 570 babies are killed every day in the womb, 365 days a year, under the Abortion Act. Belgium's non-voluntary euthanasia deaths almost equal voluntary euthanasia deaths.
According to a new study, nearly as many Belgian euthanasia killings are non voluntary as of those that are voluntary. In September 2002, Belgium became the second country in the world after the Netherlands to legalise euthanasia since the fall of Nazi Germany. Wesley J Smith, the prominent bioethicist, explained the situation by saying that once the euthanasia monster is let out of its cage, the guidelines and safeguards become less protective than wet tissue paper. Complaints over UK abortion advers prompt advertising authority to act.
Television adverts in the UK advertising Marie Stopes International abortion facilities have garnered over 1,000 complaints from viewers in their first two weeks. The volume of complaints has prompted the Advertising Standards Authority to agree to investigate whether the ads have violated broadcasting rules. However, the authority has said it will only consider the content of the advert in question and not the permissibility of advertising abortion services in general.
