News,
SPUC is calling upon supporters to lobby the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, which is due to debate two anti-life and anti-family reports next week. The first report, due to be debated on Wednesday 27 January, promotes a radical homosexual rights agenda. The second report, due to be debated on Friday 29 January, promotes abortion as a means of family planning. SPUC is urging its supporters to read and act upon its campaign alert issued yesterday http://is.gd/6BOlH
Many thousands of young people marched through Paris on Sunday to uphold the right to life. The organisers estimate there were 20,000 marchers. The march was supported by 26 Catholic French bishops. Anthony Ozimic, who represented SPUC on the march, commented: "Such a event is an impressive achievement considering the strong anti-life trend in France. The youthful vigour on display makes one hopeful for the future." [John Smeaton, 18 January] http://is.gd/6EFD6
