You decide…
At the moment of conception, a baby’s sex and eye-colour, and all he or she inherits from past generations, is decided.
At 3 weeks, the baby's heart starts to beat.
At 6 weeks, the fingers and toes start to appear and brainwaves can be picked up.
At 8 weeks, liver, kidneys and intestines are taking shape.
At 18 weeks, the mother may first feel her baby kick. Babies hear sounds, hiccup, smile, frown and squint.

Many abortions in late in pregnancy are because the baby is suspected of having a disability. After birth, discriminating against him or her would be unlawful. But in the womb it's not.
So imagine the horrors these midwives would be forced to witness. Can anyone blame them for demanding the right to opt out?
I don’t think so. And that’s why I’m reaching out to you today.
There’s no shortage of worthy causes. I understand.
But these midwives need your help now.
Yours in the defence of life,
John Smeaton
Chief Executive
P.S. We only have one chance in court to hold on to the Glasgow midwives’ right to opt out of supervising abortions on the labour ward.
If you know anyone who’d be interested to hear Connie and Mary’s story, please send their email address to me personally at johnsmeaton@spuc.org.uk
I promise they won’t be bombarded with messages. They’ll receive a polite approach inviting them to read more about the midwives’ story.
We won’t pass their details on to anyone else.
Anyone who believes in these selfless midwives can stand up for them.
This is the best way to help them.
