An American woman has filed a lawsuit against her former boyfriend, saying that he offered to pay her $75,000 to abort their child.
Elmira Naymark, a model, is suing Ron Ozer, a hedge-fund manager, in an attempt to force him to support his daughter.
She says that when she found out she was pregnant, after a two and a half year relationship, he told her to "call the clinic" and "take a pill". When she said she was keeping the baby, he said he hated her, and called her "white trash" and "disgusting" according to the Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit.
Despite offering her money through a colleague in return for having an abortion, Ms Naymark claims he has given her nothing to support their daughter, who was born in September.
The story was originally reported in the New York Post, and was picked up by Cosmopolitan Magazine, which called it "a horrible ordeal".
64% of women say they were pressured in some way to abort their babies.

Ohio governor rejects "heartbeat" abortion bill
The Governor of Ohio, John Kasich, has vetoed a bill that would have banned abortions after the baby's heartbeat was detected.
Mr Kasich said he believed the bill would be unconstitutional, and would have led to costly legal challenges. He signed into law a bill that bans abortion after 20 weeks.

Investigation reveals health violations at over 200 US abortion clinics
A report released by Americans United for Life (AUL) on Tuesday revealed more than 1400 health and safety deficiencies in the past eight years at 227 abortion providers in 32 states.
The report, Unsafe, How the Public Health Crisis in America’s Abortion Clinics Endangers Women, is more than 200 pages long and lists significant violations of state regulatory laws at abortion clinics.
AUL disclosed violations including failure to ensure a safe and sanitary environment, failure to ensure staff are properly trained for duties, and failure to monitor patient vital signs.
Denise Burke, AUL's vice president of legal affairs, said "The abortion industry willingly sacrifices women's health and safety in their 'back alley' clinics, prioritising mere access to abortion over women's health and safety...During the investigation of Gosnell and his 'house of horrors' abortion clinic, the grand jury found that, while there were laws on the books allowing for inspections, state officials decided not to act because of abortion politics. Women's health and safety must not be held hostage by an abortion industry willing to put profit over people.'
