Neither one of the parents is terminally ill
Two elderly parents in their eighties have chosen their 64th wedding anniversary as the date when they will be euthanised.
Their son commented that the euthanasia of his parents was "the best solution". Neither parent is terminally ill but both have various ailments, including blindness and a dependency on morphine as a result of cancer.
All three children have claimed that they would be unable to care for their parents. [RT, 28 September]
