23 September 2016 National Conference 2016
All the talks from Friday evening at our 50th Anniversary Conference.
Robin Haig, Paul Tully and Dr Anthony McCarthy welcome delegates and explain a little of the 50th Anniversary theme which will link all the talks together.
Next up SPUC's interns talk about their experience working full-time in the movement over the summer (21:03). Every year SPUC gives an opportunity for young people to work with us in our London office.
Then Rhoslyn Thomas, SPUC's youth and student officer, introduces the Brennan family (32:40). Their story shines a personal light on what it's like to have a child who has Down's syndrome, and dispels many of the negative stereotypes that still pervade much of modern society.
