Shout Your Abortion campaign won't help suffering women

The "Shout Your Abortion" campaign run by pro-abortion activists won't help suffering women, says the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC), the UK's largest and oldest pro-life organisation.

The campaign, launched on Twitter with the hashtag #ShoutYourAbortion, has generated controversy recently days, particularly while abortion-related legislation was being debated in the United States Congress.

John Smeaton, SPUC's chief executive, commented: "Our hearts go out to women who have had an abortion and who are struggling to come to terms with what has happened - the killing of their unborn child. Pro-abortion campaigners shouting about their abortions will not in any way help post-abortive women who are suffering in silence."
