Abortion industry's attitude is "chilling" says SPUC

The attitude of the abortion industry towards women and their unborn children is "chilling", says the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC) www.spuc.org.uk, the UK's largest pro-life organisation.

SPUC was responding to an abortion doctor's comments about a rise in abortion numbers in Humberside. Dr Kate Guthrie, of the Hull and East Riding Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare Partnership, speaking on BBC Radio Humberside this morning, gave a positive response to the rise in abortion numbers. She said it was a sign that abortion services in Humberside are easily available.

Paul Tully, SPUC's general secretary, also speaking on BBC Radio Humberside, said: "I found Dr Guthrie's comment rather chilling. Abortion doctors know that abortion kills unborn children and that unborn children are not just pieces of tissue. The abortion industry’s chilling attitude has been confirmed by the shocking revelations from America about how the abortion industry there profits from the sale of dismembered babies.

"The ease of access to abortion services isn't the issue here. Thinking about what drives women to consider taking the traumatic step of abortion is the question society must address", concluded Mr Tully.
