Students to demonstrate outside Chinese embassy, London
Students to demonstrate outside Chinese embassy, London Westminster, - The Youth and Student Division of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC) are to hold a demonstration outside the Chinese Embassy in London tomorrow (Wednesday 15 August) protesting against forced abortions and sterilisations carried out under China's one-child policy. A similar protest by students will take place in Sydney, Australia, on Thursday (16 August). The silent demonstration will draw attention to the killing of unborn children, the plight of women coerced or forced into abortion by the brutal one-child policy and the injustices suffered by those who have fought to call the Chinese government to account. Fiorella Nash, who is coordinating the demonstration in London, said: "The West is complicit in this unjust policy through supporting and funding the activities of Western population control agencies in China and most of all through silence. Anyone concerned with human rights should be uniting to fight this atrocity, which has been responsible for the deaths of millions of unborn babies, particularly baby girls, and the abuse of millions of women."
