On 27/28 October 2017 SPUC is holding a Mass Constituency-based Lobby to oppose decriminalising abortion.
At SPUC we really care about women, which is why we are campaigning against any moves in Parliament to decriminalise abortion. Removing all legal restrictions on abortion will leave women even more vulnerable to the unscrupulous abortion industry at work in our country.
Please lobby your MP on 27/28 October 2017 to ask him/her to oppose any move to decriminalise abortion.
MPs must oppose this
Decriminalisation is a real threat we must fight. Earlier this year Diana Johnson MP introduced a bill in Parliament to decriminalise abortion. It was frightening to see that Ms Johnson won her vote 172 to 142. That bill is now dead, but Ms Johnson has pledged to continue her deadly campaign. She wants abortion to be removed from the legal framework and placed outside the law.
It is vital that every MP in the country hears the case against decriminalising abortion. That’s why we need you to have a face-to-face meeting with your MP - whether he/she is for or against our position or hasn’t yet got a firm view on the matter.

27 October 2017 marks exactly 50 years since the Abortion Act 1967 was passed into law. Please help make this date a fitting commemoration to the 8.7 million babies who have been killed by abortion since then. We could do no better than lobby our MPs to help stop abortion becoming worse in this country.
