By joining SPUC, you have the opportunity to be part of a national pro-life movement.
When we're working to save lives in our local community, it can be easy to forget the fact that there are so many other pro-lifers doing the same thing across the whole of the United Kingdom. That's why SPUC and other pro-life groups organise national events.
Going to one of these national events is a great way to give witness to the pro-life message and link up with like-minded people from across the UK. When we stand together, we're able to reach the public in a different way.
Pro-life witness
Throughout the 1960s, '70s and '80s, SPUC helped raise awareness of the ongoing tragedy of abortion by organising landmark pro-life rallies in central London and other major British city centres. Now, however, we focus on organising more widely witnessed Pro-Life Chains in 50 or 60 towns and cities throughout Britain.
In recent years an annual March for Life UK has been re-established in Birmingham by pro-life volunteers, and we've been proud to support this at SPUC.
Since 2013, our sister organisation SPUC Scotland has established the Project Truth Roadshow, a youth-led campaign which takes place each summer. The roadshow brings the positive pro-life message to Scotland's towns and cities.
And more and more SPUC members are committing themselves to join together with other local supporters to leaflet houses door-to-door in an historic effort to reach every household in the country with the pro-life message.
Be reinvigorated
The work we all do to save lives at a local level is absolutely essential - at SPUC, we work to save every life we can from the threat of abortion. But it's also great to take the opportunity to join together in one voice with pro-lifers from across Britain!
