Abortion clinic botched abortion, leaving the woman in need of hysterectomy

The abortion clinic was unable to supply basic medical treatment

Shocking details have emerged revealing how a woman had to undergo emergency surgery, following a botched abortion at a clinic in Louisiana.

According to media outlet, WAFB 9, the un-named woman had to undergo emergency treatment and have her womb removed through a hysterectomy, following a termination at the deadly Delta Clinic in Louisiana.

Emergency services were called to the clinic after the woman, who underwent an abortion at 15 weeks pregnant, was found to be bleeding profusely. The abortion clinic was unable to supply basic medical treatment to stabilise her condition.

The patient was transferred to a hospital where complications resulting from the botched abortion included a total abdominal hysterectomy, the removal of both fallopian tubes and the administration of four units of blood over the course of three days.

Botched abortions at a rising rate

The danger that abortion poses to the physical health of women is a real issue.  Live Action has reported that over the short course of 16 weeks, seven women were rescued via ambulance from the Margaret Sanger Planned Parenthood clinic following an abortion.

The abortion clinic is in the state of New York, which earlier this year ‘lit up in pink’ in celebration of the passing of the Reproductive Health Act, which saw the introduction of abortion up to birth.  According to Live Action, the New York clinic has developed a ‘habit for harming women’ and has caused dozens of medical emergencies throughout the year so far, with some women rescued by ambulance entirely concealed in sheets.

In 2017, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), updated their guidance to reveal the disturbing reality that 22 American women had died following the administration of abortion drugs, which included cases of ‘severe systemic infection (sepsis) including some that were fatal.’ Shockingly, the report went on to state that following an abortion, the 22 women had died from a range of complications including liver failure, sepsis, toxic shock syndrome and haemorrhaging.

The report continued to describe the appalling side effects inflicted upon some women following an abortion. The report revealed that between 2000-2012, there were 2,740 cases of reported complications associated with abortion including hospitalisations, infections, blood loss and the need for urgent blood transfusions.

Aisha Chithra

In 2012, the UK witnessed the disturbing death of Aisha Chithra, who died following an abortion at the Marie Stopes abortion clinic in Ealing, England.

Mrs Chithra, who had travelled to the Marie Stopes clinic from Ireland, underwent an abortion at 22 weeks pregnant. She was discharged from the clinic despite feeling dizzy and vomiting as staff helped her into a taxi, claiming that she could not stay the night. Mrs Chithra died later that day due to catastrophic internal bleeding.

Costing countless women their health and wellbeing

SPUC Director of Communications, Michael Robinson said: "The true and deadly nature of abortion has been hidden for too long. For decades, the abortion industry has been butchering unborn humans at an utterly abhorrent rate. Now we are witnessing how abortion not only kills our children but also physically harms and endangers the lives of women."

Mr Robinson continued: "For the pro-life movement, the fact that abortion physically injures and threatens the health of women is no secret. Pro-abortion campaigners often assert that abortion is a safe and simple procedure. These claims are proving not only to be false, but to be costing countless women their health and wellbeing. It is vital that society wakes up to the lethal reality of abortion."
