"If we don’t teach our kids to be pro-life society will teach them to be pro-abortion": SPUC welcomes new pro-life kids' book
A pro-life book has been launched which educates children about the value of every human life and encourages them to stand up for the voiceless. SPUC has welcomed the new resource saying: "If we do not teach our children to be pro-life, society will teach them to be pro-abortion."
The new book can be used by parents as one of many ways to encompass pro-life values in their children’s education.
The book, Pro-Life Kids, was produced by mother and co-founder of the Radiance Foundation, Bethany Bomberger, who said she has written this book to help shift the culture. Ms Bomberger has said that she hopes her book will help to: "Empower parents, teachers, faith leaders and any teen or adult who would like to convey an age appropriate pro-life worldview to children."
SPUC Education Officer, Eden Linton said: "It is so important to help children recognise how unique and unrepeatable each person is and foster those values in their family life and in a school setting."
SPUC’s Education Outreach
SPUC’s Education Department promotes the importance of teaching young people about the value of human life, through its outreach to schools.
Ms Linton added: "Society relentlessly targets our children with pro-abortion propaganda, whilst also de-valuing the worth of human life.
"SPUC’s educational outreach in schools is an important way of equipping the next generation with knowledge about the value of each human life."
SPUC Scotland’s Tiny Feet Teaching Resource
SPUC Scotland’s Education Department has recently launched a new resource; Tiny Feet.
This initiative focuses on life before birth and takes children on a journey through the first nine months of life.
The Tiny Feet programme is tailored to meet the curriculum of Scottish Schools and can also be used by parents and group leaders who would like an opportunity to teach their children about the beauty and development of life before birth.
