Population Research Institute will celebrate birth of seven billionth child
Steven Mosher, President of the Population Research Institute, has suggested that the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is coordinating a scare campaign focused on the global population reaching seven billion people. Mosher cited the recent statement by Simon Ross, chief executive of Population Matters', where he said "Where people have choices, such as the UK, we are asking them to have 'two or fewer' children as part of a sustainable lifestyle.” Mr Mosher said that Population Matters' were "[t]urning a blind eye to the lengthening life spans and soaring per capita incomes that have accompanied this growth" and that "Population Matters wants a world where childbearing is restricted and there are a lot fewer human beings". Steve Mosher will publicly debate Chris Packham of Population Matters this Friday, October 14th on the BBC. [
