On Tuesday 17 January 2017, BBC Breakfast aired a segment on calls to extend the 14 day limit on embryo experimentation.

Anthony McCarthy, a bioethicist, represented the Society. He argued that experimentation and the fertility industry does not respect human embryos, instead treating them as products that can be destroyed. Instead, he said, all human life should be defended from conception.
