AISLING HUBERT "Counting the Cost - A Winnable Battle"

Aisling Hubert gave this talk at the 2018 SPUC Youth Conference.Aisling Hubert is a human rights campaigner and investigative journalist. In 2012, she exposed doctors in abortion clinics licencing sex-selective abortion. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) declined to prosecute the doctors on the basis that it was ‘not in the public interest’. She subsequently launched a private prosecution of the doctors involved, which was forcibly taken over by the CPS, who then dropped the case and left her with the legal fees. Aisling has appeared on Sky news, and other media outlets, to discuss life issues, and has debated Ann Furedi - Chief Executive of BPAS, Britain’s largest abortion provider - on abortifacient medication.
