The British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS), while a registered charity, is Britain's largest provider of abortions.
It has a long history of pro-abortion campaigning and service provision. In 2014, the organisation welcomed the Supreme Court ruling against two midwives in Glasgow who refused to supervise and support colleagues carrying out abortions. In 2015, BPAS spoke out in support of the sale of emergency contraception to under-16s. The organisation recently launched a "Back Off" campaign, calling for the establishment of buffer zones around clinics, preventing pro-life vigils and street counselling.
