Marie Stopes International headhunts top salesman to repeat its abortion business successes

According to the finance news section of the website civilsociety.co.uk, Marie Stopes International (MSI), one of the largest and richest organisations killing unborn children around the world, has recruited Simon Cooke, a commercial marketing expert, as its new chief executive officer (CEO) to succeed Dana Hovig, who has left to join the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation were one of the key organisers of the contraception summit held in London last July, promoting, amongst other things, abortifacient birth control.
Simon Cooke is currently the chief executive of SuperMax, a razor-blade manufacturing and marketing company based in the Middle East. In fact, MSI’s abortion factories churn out dead babies much like SuperMax factories churn out razor-blades. Previously he held senior positions at Procter & Gamble and Reckitt Benckiser. Much of Cooke’s sales and marketing experience has been in developing countries - again, much like Marie Stopes International. Rich Westerns have a long track-record of trying to curtail the populations of Asia and Africa.
Hovig, who had been MSI’s CEO from 2007 and deputy CEO for two years before that, announced in March that he was stepping down to join the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation as director of integrated delivery. Here the link between abortion (promoted by MSI) and contraception (promoted the Gates Foundation) is clear, with executives moving smoothly between the two industries.
During his tenure, Hovig oversaw an expansion of abortion, contraception and sex education propagandists from around 4,000 to more than 9,000, active in 41 countries. Also, according to the Civil Society report:
"When he joined, four million women were using modern contraception as a result of MSI’s work; today that figure has risen to nearly 14 million. And last year nearly 2.4 million abortions were carried out by MSI and its partners, six times as many as in 2005."
Perhaps MSI thinks that Cooke will continue this trend and can market abortion in the same way he has marketed razor-blades and shaving gel?
The article reports that:
"Its income has increased too, from £79.5m in 2007 to £145m in 2011. MSI is 26th in the Charity 100 Index this year, having risen steadily through the ranks from 73rd ten years ago. Dr Timothy Rutter, chairman of MSI, said they conducted a "wide and rigorous search" for the best candidate to succeed Hovig, and is confident that it has found that person in Simon Cooke."
MSI is known for its perchant for recruiting business and commercial managers, and clearly good marketing will bump up profits. Simon Cooke has gone from the business of cutting facial hair to the business of cutting up living babies.
