The 2019 SPUC Youth Conference will take place on the weekend of 15-17 March 2019

What is the Youth Conference?

The annual SPUC Youth Conference is a weekend filled with pro-life talks, workshops and many chances to meet other young pro-life people. The aim of the weekend is to bring young pro-life people together, to educate ourselves on the current pro-life issues and to recharge our batteries so that we are ready for the coming year.

As well as being a fantastically informative weekend, the conference is always great fun - a chance to make new friends and catch up with old ones at the bar, or at our famous Saturday night ceilidh. To get an idea, you can check out the line up of the 2018 Conference, and take a look at the photos and videos

Speakers

This year's confirmed speakers include:

  • Stephanie Gray is an experienced debater and communicator.She has reached vast audiences through lectures and television work, using her wide experience of speaking with people affected by abortion around the world.
  • Dr Calum Miller studied Medicine at Oxford University before working full-time as a doctor. He has also completed a Master’s in Biblical Studies, and he is also a Visiting Research Scholar in Bioethics at the University of Oxford.
  • Obianuju Ekeocha is a Nigerian woman living and working in the UK as a biomedical scientist. She is the founder of Culture of Life Africa, an organisation dedicated to defending the sanctity of and the dignity of human life, through research, information and education.
  • Michael Wee is the Education and Research Officer of the Anscombe Bioethics Centre, an independent research institute based in Oxford.
  • Fiorella Nash is a writer and bioethicist in the United Kingdom with over ten years’ experience researching life issues from a feminist perspective. Her latest book is “The Abolition of Woman – How radical feminism is betraying women.”
