Rebecca Kiessling, an international pro-life speaker has addressed the SPUC 2020 youth conference, warning delegates how abortion is used by rapists as a tool to destroy the evidence of their crime, the baby. Ms Kiessling, who was conceived by rape said: "Rapists love abortion. The abortion clinic is their best friend."

Ms Kiessling has been an international pro-life speaker since 1995 and is founder of pro-life organisation, Save the 1. Ms Kiessling addressed 140 delegates at the SPUC 2020 Youth Conference which is taking place in Bedfordshire.

Ms Kiessling said: "Rapists love abortion. The abortion clinic is their best friend. You will see case after case where the abortion protected the rapist and enabled them. It destroys the evidence.

"Punish rapists, not babies. The innocent baby is not the enemy."

Abortion conceals abuse

Earlier this year SPUC reported on how a Birmingham pharmacist and his wife forced young girls and women to undergo abortions in order to conceal their campaign of sexual abuse which lasted for over 20 years. One girl is known to have had six forced abortions.

Similarly, in 2019, a senior NHS worker was jailed for grooming an underage girl and pressuring her to have an abortion. Givemore Gezi, aged 39, was jailed for 10 years for having sexual relations with a teenager and forcing her to have an abortion against her will to conceal his illegal sexual activity.

Alithea Williams, SPUC Parliamentary Research Officer said: "It is clear that abortion is used by abusers to cover up the evidence of their crimes. It is therefore vital that we keep abortion within the criminal law to ensure abusers are brought to justice."
