A nurse who works for Marie Stopes Manchester, one of the UK’s largest abortion providers, has revealed the ambitions of the abortion industry to further expand abortion regulations after the Coronavirus crisis, to make killing babies even easier.

In response to the Coronavirus lockdown measures, the UK government has permitted DIY home abortions. This involves women obtaining chemical abortion drugs over video call and being left to perform their own abortions at home without medical supervision or support. The woman will not be required to meet a doctor in person, and the abortion drugs will be delivered through the post.

“As few barriers as possible”

Despite these new regulations being portrayed as a temporary measure which would be revoked once the crisis has passed, a Marie Stopes abortion nurse, has revealed in a recent Refinery29 article, how the abortion industry aims to expand abortion regulations even further, following the crisis.

Alexandra Nommay, Marie Stopes Manchester nurse said: “But when this crisis is over, we really need to think about how we can make abortion care as accessible as possible for those who need it. Can telemedicine for early medical abortions continue for some women? Will buffer zones finally be put in place to ban anti-abortion protestors? I’ve worked in abortion care for five years; I know that barriers and challenges don’t stop – and will never stop – women from needing and seeking abortions, but there should be as few in their way as possible.”

The push for permanently lax abortion regulations

The desire for the new temporary abortion regulations to become permanent practice is not uncommon within pro-abortion circles.

Earlier this year, as reported by SPUC, prestigious peer-reviewed medical journal, the British Medical Journal (BMJ), published the work of pro-abortion activists calling for DIY abortion to be extended after the Coronavirus pandemic.

The crisis has exposed the vicious intentions of the abortion industry

John Deighan, SPUC Deputy Chief Executive said: “For the pro-abortion industry, every crisis appears to be a reason to push abortion.

“The Coronavirus crisis has exposed the vicious intentions of the abortion industry, which is willing to undermine the health and wellbeing of women and girls to secure lax and dangerous abortion laws.

“The pro-abortion industry has been attempting for years to erode remaining regulations which create any barrier to abortion, and the Coronavirus crisis has provided them with the opportunity to do just that.

“We must not be naïve in believing that the pro-abortion lobby will simply allow these ‘temporary’ measures to be revoked when the crisis has passed. As confirmed by abortion nurse Nommay, the intentions of the pro-abortion industry is to make killing babies through abortion as accessible as possible. These intentions will continue past the Coronavirus crisis and we must resist all attempts to further radicalise abortion law.”
