The parents of a baby who was nearly killed by chemical abortion drugs have expressed their joy after their son was saved by the abortion pill reversal procedure. The parents, who felt pushed to abortion out of fear, changed their minds and said: “our biggest fears turn out to be our biggest blessings.”
Parents Amy and Tom arrived at Planned Parenthood for a chemical abortion after realising that Amy was pregnant. Chemical abortions are carried out using two lethal drugs which are taken hours apart.
Amy described how after taking the first abortion drug she felt immediate regret.
She said: “My first reaction to the pregnancy was thinking I didn’t want to have another kid.
“I took the first pill of two for an abortion to take place. As soon as I got into my car, I had immediate regrets and guilt about my decision to abort.”
Amy and Tom began to research ways to stop the abortion. The couple soon found the Abortion Pill Reversal Hotline where doctors were able to provide Amy with the treatment she needed.

When effective, Progesterone inhibits the effects of Mifepristone, preventing abortion from taking place in many cases.
Speaking to SPUC, Dr Dermot Kearney said: “If she [a pregnant woman] changes her mind after taking Mifepristone and seeks help, receiving Progesterone in a timely manner within 72 hours after taking Mifepristone, there is a 64-68% chance that the pregnancy will successfully continue to term.
“Most of the information currently available on Progesterone-based abortion ‘reversal’ treatment comes from experience in the USA where it has been available for many years. It is not truly ‘abortion reversal’ but rather ‘abortion preventative’ treatment.
“It is estimated that, to date, it has helped to preserve the lives of hundreds of babies who might otherwise have died by abortion. The treatment is also safe for both the developing foetus and the mother.”
