Kaya Jones, a former member of the Pussycat Dolls, a noted American girl group from the 2000s, has warned women about abortion after having aborted three babies – abortions that she now deeply regrets. “You will regret it your whole life.”
Chrystal Neria, 38, known as Kaya Jones, rose to fame in 2004 with the Pussycat Dolls. She went on to launch a successful solo career as a singer.
Jones has since described how she was pressured into abortion by the music industry and Hollywood. “I know personally with people that I have been in business with, that have been affected by it, and have been asked to do things that they don’t want to do.”
Her first abortion as a teenager, Jones explains, set her on a “very slippery slope… After the first one, you don’t think you’ve done anything wrong… it’s been normalized. And what is a line until you’ve crossed it?
“When you’ve had one, you think you can keep having them.”
Later, as a Pussycat Doll, Jones had another abortion. This time, she felt pressured by her industry. “I was told to get rid of it… and at that point, because I had already gone through an abortion previously, I didn’t think it was that big of a deal.”
The third and final abortion took place after Jones, aged 30 at the time, was raped.
“You will regret it your whole life”
Despite the differing circumstances of her three abortions, Jones has since come to deeply regret each one of her abortions, and now she warns other women about the harm of abortion.
“You will regret it your whole life,” says Jones. “Even if I become a mother tomorrow, and I’m happily married and all is well, I’m still going to regret the three children I did not have.”
Jones has ultimately found peace in God in the aftermath of her abortion trauma. “It is very painful. There is a lot of anger. There’s a lot of frustration”, she said. “There’s a lack of knowledge. There’s a lot of regrets. And nothing can make that go away other than God himself when you lay it at his feet and ask for salvation on these issues.”
She hopes “to one day be able to be a mom. I hope to be a wife and to be able to share what I do believe is the greatest gift and ultimately the greatest job you will ever have on this planet as a woman is to be a mother.”
Exposing the lies of abortion
SPUC’s Michael Robinson, Executive Director (Public Affairs and Legal Services), said: “Kaya’s courageous frankness about her abortion experiences is commendable and, indeed, vital in telling the truth about abortion. It is not easy to speak out on such a difficult subject and stand up against the abortion culture of the Hollywood elite – an elite that continues to use and prey on women in the entertainment industry.
“Kaya’s insights on abortion shed light on what Hollywood and the abortion industry would prefer to cover up, as they have been doing for decades. As Kaya relates, abortion leads to more abortion, ultimately betraying the women abortion purports to protect.
“Abortion is sold on lies. It is up to us, including Kaya, to expose these lies and help women take the right path, not only for their unborn children but also for themselves.”
