Ever since the horrific Government u-turn to allow women to self-administer ‘medical’ or chemical abortions at home with no medical supervision, politicians of every stripe have defended the move by insisting that it is only temporary. Among the many letters I have seen from MPs writing to their pro-life constituents about this, not one MP has explicitly said that these DIY abortions should be the norm. Even MPs who agree with the introduction of home abortions, have expressed concern that this change was not subject to proper parliamentary scrutiny.

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has censured the United Nations for including access to abortion into its Global Humanitarian Response Plan to COVID-19 “by cynically placing the provision of ‘sexual and reproductive health services’ on the same level of importance as food-insecurity, essential health care, malnutrition, shelter, and sanitation”.

Yesterday, in a letter to UN Secretary-General António Guterres, USAID Acting Administrator John Barsa condemned his organisation for using “crisis as an opportunity to advance access to abortion as an ‘essential service’” during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A nurse who works for Marie Stopes Manchester, one of the UK’s largest abortion providers, has revealed the ambitions of the abortion industry to further expand abortion regulations after the Coronavirus crisis, to make killing babies even easier.

In response to the Coronavirus lockdown measures, the UK government has permitted DIY home abortions. This involves women obtaining chemical abortion drugs over video call and being left to perform their own abortions at home without medical supervision or support. The woman will not be required to meet a doctor in person, and the abortion drugs will be delivered through the post.

Critics of Downing Street’s plans to impose radical abortion regulations on Northern Ireland are calling on the Prime Minister to return authority for abortion law to the Stormont Assembly. SPUC says the Government’s regulations are so extreme that they go far beyond any abortion legislation in Europe.

The new regulations come into effect 14 May. Last week the Government was forced to withdraw its previous draft when it was found to be defective. However, a spokesman for SPUC said that the fundamental issues with the regulations had not been addressed.

A woman has spoken out about her agonizing abortion experience in an open letter addressed to her two aborted sons whom she named Jude and Paul. Rachel said: “You’ll never be a statistic to me. You’ll always be my two biggest regrets, my two most painful memories, my 2 boys. Aborting you both didn’t stop me being your mum. I just became a mum of two dead children.”

SPUC has released a video tribute to all those who took part in the SPUC Pro-Life Prayer Chain on Monday 27 April 2020. As people were unable to take part in the annual roadside witness, over 1,000 people took part in a prayer chain from their own homes.

A mother, who refused to abort her unborn child, despite advice from doctors, has hailed her baby son a “miracle”, after he defied the odds and survived.

A woman, who changed her mind after taking the first abortion drug and underwent abortion pill reversal is now a pro-life advocate and has spoken out against abortion. She said: “I should never have been able to take my son’s life.”

Rita was eight weeks pregnant when she began a chemical abortion to terminate her child’s life. She had taken the first abortion drug, mifepristone, and began hemorrhaging heavily during her journey home from the abortion clinic.

Due to the harm caused by the chemical abortion drug, Rita was hospitalized and required blood transfusions. It was then discovered that the first abortion drug intended to kill her child had not been ‘effective’ and her baby still had a heartbeat.
