John Deighan, CEO of SPUC Scotland, yesterday unveiled SPUC’s new filming studio, the first of its type in the UK, set in the heart of Glasgow.
Mr Deighan, who cut the tinsel ribbon to open officially the studio, praised the “versatility” of the set.
The modern studio, with a green screen and news desk, will allow SPUC to beam other pro-lifers online straight into the studio.
“This is part of SPUC’s growing capacity to get the message out”, said Mr Deighan.
The project was completed in partnership with Sancta Familia Media, headed by John P. Mallon and Brian A. Timmons.
Michael Robinson, Director of Communications at SPUC, said: “The opening of this studio is a vital part of the process of extending our communications reach.
“In this age of modern communications, it is so important that we project a pro-life message in a high-tech, professional and engaging way, especially for the younger generation, which is the future of the pro-life movement.
“SPUC supporters, as well as pro-life newcomers, can expect a wide range of innovative and unique content, facilitated by our new studio.
“As Mr Deighan said, this will allow us to further ‘grow our support base’ and show ‘the damage that abortion is doing to women’.”
