Many thanks and a reminder from Gordon Kane, SPUC's fundraising manager

News,

Dear supporter,

Thank you so much if you replied to my message of 30 August 2012, giving your consent to receive online marketing messages which help us to fund important pro-life campaigns. If you have not yet given your consent, please consider doing so.

Unlike commercial businesses, charities and non-profit organisations like SPUC cannot send marketing messages to their supporters by electronic means (such as email), without first receiving the explicit consent of supporters first.

It's good that measures are in place to safeguard people from spam email, but unfortunately, privacy regulations can also act as brake on SPUC raising the funds it needs to defend life.

And if SPUC is prevented from asking its friends for financial assistance, its work defending unborn babies, and other vulnerable people, is hampered.

For instance, without the financial help of our supporters SPUC cannot:

  • train pro-life speakers to teach schoolchildren about the wonder of life, and the horrors of abortion and euthanasia
  • provide emergency help to expectant mothers facing a crisis pregnancy
  • provide GPs with evidence-based information for patients who request abortions, which explains the alternatives to abortion and where help can be found
  • support relatives of patients at risk from euthanasia in hospitals
  • mount public campaigns to oppose anti-life legislation in Parliament
  • defend doctors', nurses' and midwives' right to conscientious objection in the courts

To give your consent, simply click on your reply button'nothing more is required.

We promise not to bombard you with messages. You will not be under any obligation to give money, and you can stop receiving our communications at any time.

To give your consent to receive fundraising emails from the Society from time-to-time, simply click on the reply buton.

Thank you for all you do to help unborn babies.
