The Scottish Abortion Law Review Group has put forward proposals that would dismantle existing safeguards and effectively permit abortion up to birth. These recommendations include removing all grounds for abortion before 24 weeks, reducing medical oversight to a single doctor’s signature, and decriminalising abortion at any stage of pregnancy. Taken together, they would enshrine abortion as a “right” in law, repeal protections for unborn children, and strip away accountability measures that safeguard women and society.

We need your help to stop these destructive proposals that disregard the rights of the unborn child and pose grave risks to women and future generations of Scotland. Most people are not in favour of extending abortion time limits, and we call on MSPs to listen to the public, uphold existing protections, and reject these dangerous recommendations.

With the Scottish election only months away, we need to tell MSPs that these proposals should NOT be in party manifestoes.

Your voice matters. Please use our tool to contact your MSPs and urge them to oppose these proposals.
