About the Film
Best described as a quirky and counter-cultural comedy-drama, the movie marks an innovative collaboration between up-and-coming independent film director, Danny Patrick, Empire Productions and SPUC.
Writer/Director Danny Patrick first came to SPUC with the idea for the movie back in 2018, after being deeply affected by the experience of the Irish abortion referendum, and the story is based on a real-life situation that happened within his own extended family.
his teen-pregnancy, coming-of-age drama follows Aine, a 15-year-old schoolgirl, who faces her pregnancy dilemma in the face of imploding personal circumstances. As we faced the challenges of producing our debut film, we remained committed to crafting a story that resonates with audiences on multiple levels. Our aim was to explore the complexities of life, encouraging thoughtful discussions about themes such as love, resilience and hope.
This project not only marks our initial step into the filmmaking industry but also serves as an essential effort to reshape narratives and inspire positive change in society. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who believed in our vision and helped bring this meaningful story to life.

Our Initiatives
Live theatre and drama-based RSE workshops & resources for UK schools.
Life Voice is an innovative new educational initiative of SPUC that provides drama-based RSE resources to UK schools. The resources present our life affirming message in a highly engaging and age-appropriate way, giving students the opportunity to ask and explore all the hard questions, and test out different views and perspectives, for themselves.
Our creative and acting talent is provided by Parley Ensemble — an experienced professional drama company who have produced and deliver our plays, Hear Me Out! and Do I?, which can each be used to support teaching in different areas of the RSE curriculum.
Write for Life Creative Workshops
Write for Life Academy is dedicated to equipping a community of pro-life creatives who support each other to reach their creative goals and reach the culture.
Write for Life Academy is a joint initiative of SPUC and the BardSchool, running virtual and in-person workshops across the UK
