What To Expect

The final day of report stage of the Crime and Policing Bill in the Lords takes place on Wednesday 18 March. This is when we expect Lords to debate and vote on the abortion amendments. This is the last chance for the Lords to amend the Bill before it is sent back to the Commons.

The key amendments are:

  • Baroness Monckton of Dallington Forest and Baroness Smith of Newnham’s amendment to REMOVE the clause to decriminalise abortion (clause 208) from the Bill. As a reminder, this clause legalises abortion up to birth, when induced by the pregnant woman herself.
  • Baroness Stroud’s amendment to require an in-person appointment to obtain abortion pills.

If the decriminalisation clause is not removed, this will be the most massive expansion of abortion since 1967. This is also an opportunity to end the dangerous pills by post policy.

We will be holding a demo on 18 March outside Parliament, telling Lords to vote NO to abortion up to birth. If you are able to get to London, please do your best to attend. We need to tell politicians and the media that the public do NOT endorse these evil proposals.

Please book your place on this page to confirm that you will join us on the day. That way we can update you with the crucial details as the date of the rally approaches.

Placards will be provided. Please do not bring your own, so we present a consistent and united message.
