Project Truth Pod holds its first public outreach stall in Warrington

The Warrington Project Truth Pod held its first public outreach stall in Warrington Town Centre on Saturday, August 9th, marking a significant milestone for the pro-life initiative.

According to an SPUC spokesperson, the day was “a celebration of taking our message directly into the community—sharing crucial information about current abortion laws in this country, as well as facts, figures, and images showing the development of the human person in the womb.”

This was also the first Project Truth stall to be held in England. “That made it a double celebration,” the spokesperson added. “It represents the expansion of our outreach initiatives across the UK.”

A key aim of Project Truth is to engage what the team calls “the mountain in the middle”—those who have not given much thought to the issue of abortion and therefore hold no particularly strong opinion either way. “We find that this group makes up the vast majority of people we meet out on the street,” the spokesperson explained.

The Warrington Pod’s efforts resulted in approximately 100 conversations with members of the public and the distribution of hundreds of informative leaflets containing foetal development statistics and details of support available for those facing crisis pregnancies. “We encouraged people to think, to engage, and to question what they believe and why,” the spokesperson said. “We don’t always see immediate change, but we never know what seeds have been planted during those conversations—seeds that may bear fruit in the future.”

The day began at St Mary’s Shrine, where the team attended Mass, prayed together, and prepared their outreach materials. Armed with stall equipment, boxes of leaflets, and what the spokesperson described as “enthusiasm to be a voice for life,” they headed into the town centre.

“Warrington proved to be a great town for our first English Pod,” the spokesperson reflected. “We had excellent engagement with the public and met with a good amount of support for both our message and our presence.”

In their view, the launch was a clear success: “The Warrington Pod was a great victory. We had meaningful conversations, reached hundreds of people, and established a solid foundation for future outreach in the town. We intend to build on this momentum and continue being a voice for life in Warrington.”
