Use Your Vote For a Pro-Life Wales

The Senedd election on 7 May 2026 could be crucial for human life – use your vote to defend and protect it!

In 2024, the Welsh government launched the Women’s Health Plan 2025-2035, which describes abortion as a “fundamental aspect of women’s reproductive healthcare and health rights.” The priorities set out in this plan include:

  • Increasing the availability of online information regarding abortion, including advice on how abortion can be accessed locally.
  • Ensuring the delivery of abortifacient “long-acting reversible contraception” and abortion.
  • Funding the delivery of services for “complex and mid-trimester abortions”.

On 23 October 2024, the Senedd rejected a motion calling for the legalisation of assisted suicide by 26 votes to 19. Although MSs cannot change the law, how they vote on the principle of assisted suicide indicates where the Senedd stands on the issue. It is important that a majority of MSs continue to oppose assisted suicide.
